Dr. Jack Barton

Intensive Care Registrar

Jack graduated from St George's, University of London in 2021, during which he founded METRO alongside Professor Round. He undertook an academic foundation programme in critical care medicine at the Royal London Hospital. Currently he works as as an intensive care registrar at Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand. He is interested in finding things out, critical care medicine, triathlon, skiing, and outdoor stuff.

Professor Jonathan Round

Paediatric Intensivist, Professor of Practice in Clinical Education, Head of London School of Paediatrics.

Jonathan studied in Oxford and then King's College Hospital. He trained in south London and Sydney, becoming Senior Lecturer and Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care at St George's in 2002.

He has had several medical leadership roles including Children's Clinical Director and Director of Medical Education at St George's. He was the Head of the London School of Paediatrics from 2019 to 2025. He was promoted as Professor in 2021. He was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2023. Jonathan's clinical work is in Paediatric Intensive Care and Paediatric Cardiology.

Dr Amber-Elyse Corrigan

Junior Clinical Fellow

Amber graduated from King’s College London’s medical school in 2022, thereafter joining the Academic Foundation Programme at King’s College London in Neurology. She currently serves as a Junior Clinical Fellow at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and will commence an Academic Clinical Fellowship in Neurology in August 2025. Amber’s principal interests lie in neuro-oncology and the neurotoxic effects of cancer therapies

Dr Ashvin Kuri

Academic Foundation Doctor

Ashvin is an academic foundation doctor at UCL, working in neurology. His research interests are in big data, genetics and epidemiology.

Mo Mallah

Medical Student

Mo is currently a medical student at St George's University of London, with an interest in teaching, research and things brain-related having completed an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience. Whatever down-time he finds is spent on the tennis court or at a 'GEP Friday'.

Dr Caitlin Norris-Gray

Researcher

Caitlin graduated from UCL medical school in 2021 and spent 2 years working in the NHS. She then undertook a Master in Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health, specialising in Quantitative Methods. Her career focuses on the intersection of data science, clinical medicine and academic research.

Aleksandra Nowak

Medical Student

Aleksandra is a current medical student at St George’s, University of London. She previously trained in architecture before transitioning to medicine, and has a strong interest in medical education, clinical research, and surgery.

Dr Daniel Richardson

Junior Clinical Fellow

Daniel graduated from St George's, University of London in 2021. He completed an academic foundation programme in clinical neurosciences at King's College Hospital with a final rotation in Emergency Medicine. Having caught the Emergency Medicine bug, between night shifts he's usually running or rock climbing.

Dr Matt Solomons

Academic Clinical Fellow

Matt graduated from UCL medical school in 2021. He then completed an Academic Foundation Programme in Neurology at Barts Health NHS Trust. After undertaking core surgical training in Oxford he is now pursuing an Academic Clinical Fellowship and Higher Training in General Surgery at Southhampton. His research focuses on predicting disease outcomes based on clinical and genomic patient data.

Dr Andrea Tejerina

Foundation trainee

Andrea graduated from Hull York Medical School in 2024, following the completion of a BSc in Biomedical Science at King's College London. She is currently undertaking her foundation training at Lister Hospital in Stevenage. Andrea has a strong interest in surgery and clinical research.

Dr Becci Ward

ST1 Paediatrics Trainee

Becci graduated from Imperial College London medical school in 2021 before completing her foundation training in London. She then completed a year as a paediatric teaching fellow at Royal Surrey hospital where she obtained a PGCert in medical education and developed her interest in medical education. She is currently a Paediatrics trainee within Thames Valley deanery. Her interests include medical education, all things paediatrics, and wellbeing within medical training.

Rowan Wilson

Final Year Medical Student

Rowan is currently a final year medical student at City, St George's University. He completed a degree in Biochemistry and Genetics (MSci) at The University of Nottingham in 2020, and went on to work in diagnostic healthcare for 2 years, before joining the graduate medicine programme at St George's. He has a particular interest in paediatric oncology, and aspires to pursue a career in research in this area. In his downtime, he likes to watch history documentaries, read fantasy novels, and go running.

Antonia Salem

FY1 in London

Antonia studied medicine at the University of Leeds and graduated in 2025, with an MBChB and BSc in International Health. She is now an FY1 resident doctor with East London NHS Foundation Trust. Her interests include medical education, research, and cardiology. Outside work, you can find her cooking, playing padel or walking her husky!

Shanuja Ampigaipalan

FY1 in London

Shanuja is currently a third year medical student at City St George's, having also graduated from there with a Biomedical Science degree in 2022. She has an interest in Neonatal care and Haematology and wishes to engage in research in these specialities.
